butterfly mufflers

Hi, can anyone reccomend some exhaust muffler brands that operate with a butterfly valve, Ie the varex muffler where you can adjust it to be fully open and noisy or a closed circuit silent.

I had a varex on a previous car. Was good. It was more quiet then my previous muffler when open and scary silent when closed. If you have a loud, straight through system a varex is great.

if you are trying to get a a shorter exhaust without mufflers (good for drag strip) and then mufflers on the street, this is the sort of set-up I run on the Charger.

Varex are good quality mufflers. Are you chasing something cheaper or just wondering what other options are available?

I love that setup, seen it on a few tuff cars. I dont know why Mad Mike doesnt do this to his Rx7 as hes alway having to try and quieten his car at certain tracks (decibel limits due to residential areas). That way he can have a heavily muffled full system for those particular tracks, but then can open the valve for the open limit tracks for the straight though madness that is QUADROTARY GOODNESS!

just after some obnoxious noise for messing around with...then coming home or driving through te city i can go into stealth mode.

Im not chasing performance by any means. Just some noise that I can have when I feel like it.
